For my paper mache ground breaker this is how i start
Not much to look at now but it gets better
First i take a 2x4 and cut in half and nailed it
to a piece of OSB Sheathing i had laying around
Plywood will work great to
Then i used a tee pvc connetor and nailed it to the 2x4
i cut the lenght i needed for the shoulders and head
and added a skull i had from last year
This is the side view i didn't want to make him straight
so i cut it at an angle
Here i cut to arms to get the shoulders to look right
use some metal coat hanger and put it into the pvc pipe
then i wraped it in duck tap got to love some duck tape
Here i added some poultry netting or as i call it chicken wire
to the body used zip ties to hold it to the top of the body
and stapels on the back and bottom to hold it in place
then i added my paper mache ribs and more zip ties and duck tape
to hold it in place
Close up view of what i did
Here i just added layers and layers of paper mache
then i just rolled up paper to make it thicker he was a little too
skinny for me
Back view of what i did
After all the layers had dryed this is how he looks now
For the hands i took metal coat hanger and cut
them to the length i needed for the hands after that
i just wraped them in paper and then added paper mache
to them and had to let them dry
Some other photos of the work i did
Now for all the detail work i just took paper towel
and using mache to bunch it up on my ground breaker
Close up all i used was paper towel instead of news paper
to get the detail work i tryed to make it look like blood veins
